Year 7 Catch Up Premium

The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2) or who had low standardised scores in their KS2 tests. At Maiden Erlegh we use this to fund our Purple Pathway. This is a curriculum pathway through year 7 and 8 especially designed to meet the needs of these specific children. Classes are taught in small groups with TA support with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy.

We were allocated £15,341 for 2018/19.
