Communication
Whilst our main Management Information System is Bromcom – through which we send out our weekly communications, exam timetables etc – we use Class Charts on a day to day basis to record achievements/behaviours, detentions, attendance and lateness so we do advise that all parents and students have this app on their phones.
We try to keep emails to a minimum so our aim is to send out one email a week with links to relevant letters/information. However, letters that are directed to a certain group of students (eg: GCSE geography only, or Silver/Gold programme) will go out separately. The fortnightly ‘Heads Up’ and half termly The Pulse & Safeguarding Newsletters will also be sent out separately. However, this amalgamation of whole school/year group letters should help to keep emails to a minimum.
Details of how we use Class Charts and how to make the most of Progress Evenings can be found using the navigational menu on the right.
For our new students starting in Year 7 in September 2025, we are going to be running all admissions through Bromcom. For these Year 7 parents, once they have completed the initial set-up they will be able to amend their data through Bromcom, and will also be able to access their child's progress reports. In order to use this, we are asking all upcoming Year 7 parents to use the Bromcom Parent Portal called My Child At School - this can be on a webpage accessed here MyChildAtSchool - Login or on an App which you can download from the App Store on your device. More instructions for Bromcom can be found on this page here.
