School Meals

At Maiden Erlegh School in Reading we have a half-hour snack break in the middle of the day when students can buy food or eat a packed lunch.  Students will purchase and/or eat their lunch in the dining room. If students bring a packed lunch, then we ask: no cans or glass bottles and please avoid allergens such as nuts.

We have three snack sessions and so snack break may not be at the same time each day. Students will have the times of their snack breaks on their timetable.

We operate a cashless catering system which means that students do not need to bring cash into school. This is operated by ParentPay and parents allocate money to their child's account.  See website here.

Parents should have received their log in details and activation codes to allow them to allocate money for the start of term. Click here to download the ParentPay parents guide

Please contact the school office MERoffice@maidenerleghtrust.org if you have not received this information or have any questions.

We run a 3 week rotating menu which offers a 2 course meal of the day together with a variety of snack items. There are always vegetarian options for snacks and the Meal of the Day. Allergen information is available on request.
